with the Kohl McCormick StoryBus!
During the school year, the Kohl McCormick StoryBus drives to schools across the greater Chicagoland area. Our 37-foot-long children’s museum on wheels goes to where the children are—in essence, bringing a children’s museum to children who may not otherwise get to visit one.
But once school lets out for summer, the StoryBus becomes a mobile attraction that draws families to festivals and events! When children step onto the StoryBus, they are literally transported to the setting of their favorite children’s storybooks. They can bake bread in the Little Red Hen’s kitchen, build a brick house for the Three Little Pigs, or rest in the bed of the Three Bears. Add to that our storytelling program and our literacy arts tent, and you have an attraction that instantly makes any event family friendly!
