Bring the StoryBus to You

School Programs

Bring the StoryBus to your school! The cost is $583 for the full day. (We do not offer half-days.) Or you can make the most of the StoryBus visit by including professional development for your pre-k and kindergarten teachers. Each teacher attends three workshops of three hours each, over a six-week period. The workshops are implemented by the Erikson Institute. At the workshops, each of your teachers will receive a StoryBus curriculum guide, five storybooks, and a storytelling DVD, and will earn CPDUs. The StoryBus storyteller will visit your school to perform a live telling, and when the StoryBus comes to the school, it will stay for the whole day, plus 45 minutes after the close of school to act as part of a family literacy workshop your teachers learn to conduct. The cost of this enhanced version of the program is $700 (so it's only $117 more than the basic StoryBus visit). Neighborhood Programs

StoryBus can make your event family friendly! We're Chicago's only children's museum on wheels. For non-profit events that are closede to the public, the cost of a day is $700; for non-profit events that are open to the public, the cost is $1,700 for the day. For all other events, the cost is $3,400 per day, with a discount available for multiple days. If you would like the StoryBus to come to your event, please contact us!
