Creative Arts - Costume Designer
You will need:
- Paper grocery bags
- Paper scraps, yarn, leaves, wallpaper flowers, odds and ends
- Scissors
- Paste or glue
What to do:
- After each child chooses a character, design a costume for them out of a paper bag and the various odds and ends.
Open-ended Questions:
- Which parts of the costumes will let everyone know who you are supposed to be?
Variations/Extensions:
- Make hats for each or the characters. Put out an assortment of wide paper strips that can become the base for each headpiece, and have the children make the creation that each finds satisfying.
- Make masks instead of full costumes.
