Physical Development and Health - Cerdo, Cerdo, Lobo!
You will need:
- Large space for gross-motor play.
What to do:
- This game is played exactly like the classic "Duck, Duck, Goose," only using Spanish words for pig (cerdo) and wolf (lobo).
Open-ended Questions:
- How did you feel if you got caught by the wolf? How did you feel if you got away?
- What other ways, besides running, could the wolf chase the pig?
Variations/Extensions:
- Use another language besides Spanish.
- Play a version of "cat and mouse" by forming a circle and holding hands. One child in the center is the pig and one child outside is the wolf. The goal of the game is for the wolf to catch the pig, but the children in the circle try to help the pig escape without being caught. If he is caught, he becomes the wolf.
